Purpose Statement
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect
will of God”
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
Deo Volente Publishing exists to help make the exhortation of Romans 12:2
a living, daily reality in the believer’s life.
Our goal is:
• to edify believers in Christ,
• to encourage non-conformity to the world’s standards,
• to exhort believers to live radically transformed lives that reflect
the knowledge, enjoyment and practice of what is good, acceptable, and perfect
in God’s sight.
We will endeavor to meet our goal by publishing material that:
• is consistently Reformed in theology,
• is intensely practical for a daily Christian walk,
• encourages holy living in every aspect of life through the reforming
power of God’s Word.
Biblical Standards
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inerrent, infallible, and authoritative
Word of God. As such, we believe it should be the guiding standard for all
aspects of the Christian walk. Manuscripts submitted for publication should
be consistent with this belief.
Scripture quotations or citations should be from the New American Standard,
New King James, or the New International Version translations.
Style
We use The Christian Writer’s Manual of Style by Hudson and Townsend
as our editorial standard. It is published by Zondervan.
Preferred Genres
Bible Studies – Bible studies may be topical or exegetical,
but they should contain Scripture proofs; be written in a conversational,
reader friendly voice; and be structured to complete units in a 13 week quarter.
Christian Living – True life experiences that will demonstrate
God’s grace and power to others will be considered. Principles stated
must be clearly linked to God’s Word by Scripture references.
Home School Materials – Text books, curriculum guides, study
aids, and “How To” books for the Christian home-school will be
considered.
Theological Books – This is a difficult area, and we will usually
want to see credentials of the author. We are interested in sound biblically
Reformed theology that is consistent with the Wetminister Confession of Faith.
Fiction – We are currently not considering new works of fiction.
